Swimmers throw out bathers for old boots

16 Apr, 2009 11:58 AM
BATHERS, flippers and caps gave way to denim, boots and western hats for the Myall Masters Swimming Club’s country and western awards night.

Music from Hank Williams Jnr, line dancing, musical hats, shoot-outs, together with the tasty food and support of the staff of the Ole Grand Tea Gardens Pub created a great social atmosphere for the most important part of the night - the presentation of awards. The Myall Masters Swimming Club’s novice encouragement trophy was awarded to Lidia Izquierdo and the encouragement trophy was awarded to Linda Stubbs.

The awards are based on the member’s commitment and attitude to the club, attendance at training and improvement in swimming technique. The club took great pleasure in celebrating Lidia and Linda’s achievement.
