Young cricketers go into break on a high

21 Dec, 2011 12:00 AM
THE Tea Gradens Karuah Sharkies travelled to Dungog this week to play Dungog. The homes side batted first and made a steady start to their innings against the much improved bowling attack of the Young Sharkies.

Sami Davidson and Mitchell Pinch picked up early wickets before Aiden Bills and Mitchell Elliot claimed another couple of cheap wickets to put Dungog on the back foot. Aiden Bill's run out compounded the Dungog situation and saw their innings finish for 86 runs.

Top score was Mitchell pinch with his 37 and Aiden Bills with 30 retired.

The young Sharkies enter the Christmas break on a high and look to genuine contenders in the second half of the season if they can maintain their good form.
