The good, the bad and the beautiful

NEXT Friday John Fitzgerald will present The Good, Bad, and Beautiful a documentary on women in movies, femmes fatale, romantics, dames, bombshells – Harlow, Garbo, Monroe, Stone.

This  promises to be quite intriguing.

Also of interest to movie buffs and others, is the feature for the film appreciation afternoon on August 14.

This is a musical biopic based on the life of Cole Porter, who’s glamorous and wildly unconventional lifestyle inspired some of the greatest songs of the twentieth century.

Please also note that the Friday sessions by John Fitzgerald entitled London Life Through the Centuries, commence on Friday, August 17 and continue to September 14.

Prepared by John to coincide with the Olympic games, this is a multi-part multi-media presentation of the working, social and cultural lives of the people of London through four centuries, from August 16 to 19.

Many hours of preparation have gone into this and  I can assure you it will grasp your interest.

Apologies to anyone who turned up for the Friday discussion session last week, this was cancelled at short notice and has been postponed to a future date.
